FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01UXKG

      Engage the 3 hooks and install the front bumper energy absorber.

    2. A01V0DZ

      Install the 8 screws, the 6 clips and the grommet.

  2. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  4. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Engage the 2 guides and install the front side member bracket.

    2. Tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY

      Install the windshield washer jar with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET

      Install the front No. 1 bumper stone deflector bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A01UZCY

      Install the front bumper reinforcement with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Tighten the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Engage the 2 clamps and install the wire harness.

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Engage the 2 guides and install the front bumper energy absorber.

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL


    1. A01UZ4O

      Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator side air seal.

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 side.

  12. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH

      Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator support extension.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION RH

  14. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

      Install the 4 clips and the radiator support opening cover.

  15. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 2 clamps and install the thermistor.

  16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

      Engage the 2 claws and install the front bumper side retainer.

  24. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE

      Engage the 20 claws and install the lower No. 1 radiator grille.

  25. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER

      Engage the 2 claws and install the front bumper hole cover.

  26. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ORNAMENT PLATE

      Engage the 2 guides and install the radiator grille ornament plate onto the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  27. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM

      Engage the 2 guides, 3 claws and install the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  28. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

      Engage the 13 claws and install the radiator grille.

      Install the 3 clips.

  29. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SIDE MOULDING LH

      Engage the 4 claws and install the radiator grille side moulding.

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  31. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL


    1. Clean the attachment surface.


      1. Using an infrared light, heat the double-sided adhesive tape remaining on the front bumper cover.

        Item Temperature
        Front Bumper Cover 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      2. Using a piece of cloth, rub the remaining double-sided adhesive tape off the front bumper cover while it is hot from the infrared light.

        Note

        Installing the hood to front end panel seal with any double-sided tape remaining on the front bumper cover may cause adhesion failure. Therefore, completely remove the double-sided tape.

      3. Using a non-residue solvent, clean the attachment surface.

      Install a new hood to front end panel seal onto the front bumper cover, as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Thoroughly press the hood to front end panel seal to ensure that it adheres.

      Install the 4 clips.
