DESCRIPTION

The power management control ECU monitors the ST signal received from the ignition or starter switch assembly. When an error is detected in the ST signal, this DTC is stored.

Tech Tips

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and wait for 15 seconds or more.

  3. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ST2 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)


    1. Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      A27-10 (ST2) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V

    3. Connect the power management control ECU connector.

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.

    5. Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.

    6. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off and leave the vehicle as it is for approximately 5 seconds.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      P0617-142 is output again. A
      P0617-142 is not output. B

    6. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.
