After confirming that DTC P0A2C-247 or P0A2D-249 is output, use the GTS to check "Motor Temp No1" in the hybrid vehicle control ECU Data List.

Tech Tips

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (MOTOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CONNECTOR)

      Check the connection condition of the motor temperature sensor connector and the contact pressure of each terminal. Check the terminals for deformation, and check the connector for water ingress and foreign matter.

      OK
      - The connector is connected securely.
      - The terminals are not deformed and are connected securely.
      - No water or foreign matter in the connector.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (MOTOR TEMP NO1)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    4. Read the Data List.

      Disconnect the C25 motor temperature sensor connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      C25-2 (MMT) - C25-1 (MMTG) Ignition switch off 0.3436 to 1442 kΩ
    3. Connect the C25 motor temperature sensor connector.

  5. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

      Connect terminals 24 (MMT) and 23 (MMTG) of connector A26 of the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    5. Read the Data List.

    3. Connect the C25 motor temperature sensor connector.

    1. Disconnect the motor temperature sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
