QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

When installing quarter panel wheel opening moulding, heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding using a heat light.

Heating Temperature
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body or moulding excessively.


  1. INSTALL QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Clean the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

      Dimension Measurement
      A 0.8 mm (0.0315 in.)
      B 8.0 mm (0.315 in.)

      1. Using a heat light, heat the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      4. Apply new double-sided tape to the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

      Install the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

      2. Remove the release paper from the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the quarter panel wheel opening moulding with the 7 screws.
