DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor receives a signal from the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) to operate. The AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight leveling motor.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2417 or B2418 is not output.

    NG

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Active Test.

    5. Check that the leveling motors operate.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the A21 or A29 headlight leveling motor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
