  1. INSPECT POWER BACK DOOR CLOSER SWITCH

    Component without harness connected

    (Power Back Door Closer Switch)

    1. Check the operation of the closer switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 4 Power back door closer switch pushed Below 1 Ω
        3 - 4 Power back door closer switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power back door closer switch.

    2. Check that the switch illuminates.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the power back door closer switch and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → terminal 2

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → terminal 1

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
