FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL POWER SEAT SLIDE MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a wire brush, remove any adhesive from the threaded part of the front seat adjuster sliding screw.

    2. Using a non-residue solvent, completely remove any grease or other foreign matter from the threaded part of the front seat adjuster sliding screw and sliding motor bracket bolt hole.

    3. Install the 2 washers to the front seat adjuster sliding screws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Set the power seat slide motor assembly on the front seat adjuster sliding screws.

      Note


      • If the splines of the front seat adjuster sliding screws and the power seat slide motor assembly are not aligned, push the power seat slide motor assembly onto the seat adjuster sliding screws while slightly rotating the front seat adjuster sliding screws. Do not rotate the front seat adjuster sliding screws 2 splines or more.

      • Do not apply excessive force to the slide cable.

      • Do not bend the slide cable more than 60 degrees.

      • Make sure that the washers have not fallen off.

    5. Temporarily install the 2 bolts (A).

    6. Temporarily install 2 new bolts (B).

    7. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, tighten the 2 bolts (A).

    8. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, tighten the 2 bolts (B).

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }
    9. Install the front seat slide motor assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      3.4 N*m  { 35 kgf*cm, 30 in.*lbf }
    10. Connect the connector.

    11. Engage the 2 clamps.
