The driving support ECU receives pre-crash brake on/off signal from the pre-crash system cancel switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (PRE-CRASH BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH)


    1. Use the Data List to check if the pre-crash brake cancel switch is functioning properly.

      ON: Pre-crash brake cancel switch on

      OFF: Pre-crash brake cancel switch off

      Remove the pre-crash brake cancel switch assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Pressed Below 1 Ω
      Not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Reinstall the pre-crash brake cancel switch assembly Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH BRAKE CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU)

      Disconnect the pre-crash brake cancel switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the driving support ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F19-1 - C1-5 (PBSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      F19-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. Reconnect the driving support ECU connector.

    5. Reconnect the pre-crash brake cancel switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Reconnect the pre-crash brake cancel switch assembly connector.
