DESCRIPTION

The illuminated entry system controls the power switch illumination.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Smart Key / Active Test.

    5. Check that the the illumination operates.

      Power switch illumination comes on.

  2. INSPECT POWER SWITCH


    1. Remove the power switch Click here.

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 11 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 5.

    3. Check that the illumination comes on.

      OK
      Power switch illumination comes on.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the F58 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the F22 power switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F22-11 (SWIL) - F58-11 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω
      F22-11 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F22-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
