INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the 2F, 2K and 2D instrument panel junction block assembly and A main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2F-40 - A-30 (BECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      2K-1 - A-31 (ALTB) Always Below 1 Ω
      2D-6 - A-11 (GND1) Always Below 1 Ω

  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) (POWER SOURCE)


    1. Reconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-30 (BECU) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      A-31 (ALTB) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - BODY GROUND)


    1. Reconnect the 2F and 2K instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A-11 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
