ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM Security Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The security indicator light blinks continuously due to a continuous signal received from the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) while the engine immobiliser is set.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, register the key.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Entry & Start / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

      The security indicator light turns on and off according to operation via the intelligent tester.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

      Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F58-2 (IND) - G8-7 (LP) Always Below 1 Ω
      F58-2 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G8-7 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
