POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM All Doors LOCK/UNLOCK Functions do not Operate Via Door Control Switch

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives switch signals from the door control switch (power window regulator switch assembly) and activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

      ON: Front passenger side door control switch pushed to lock position

      ON: Front passenger side door control switch pushed to unlock position

      OFF: Front passenger side door control switch not pushed to unlock position

      The intelligent tester indicates ON or OFF according to the switch operation shown in the table.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      12 (L) - 5 (GND) Locked Below 1 Ω
      12 (L) - 5 (GND) off 10 kΩ or higher
      7 (UL) - 5 (GND) Unlocked Below 1 Ω
      7 (UL) - 5 (GND) off 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU RH AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      I7-12 (L) - F13-9 (L1) Always Below 1 Ω

      I7-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD
