INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      DTC B1243 is not output.

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU (GSW VOLTAGE))

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    2. Reconnect the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

F29-18 (GSW) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 2.8 to 4.3 V

      Note

Turning the power switch on (IG) with the center airbag sensor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    NG
    OK
  3. REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    2. Replace the center airbag sensor assembly Click here.
