INSTALL REAR DOOR UPPER WINDOW FRAME MOULDING
Engage the guide and install the rear door upper window frame moulding to the door frame.
Using an air riveter or hand riveter with a nose piece, install the rear door upper window frame moulding with 4 new rivets.
Tech Tips
If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.
Note
Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.
Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the moulding. Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the moulding. Do not leave any space between the rivet head and moulding.
Do not leave any space between the moulding and door frame. Firmly hold the 2 items together while installing the rivet.
INSTALL REAR DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING
Clean the vehicle body surface.
Remove the release sponge from the vehicle rear door rear window frame moulding.
Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install the rear door rear window frame moulding.
Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear door rear window frame moulding (when using a new moulding).
Tech Tips
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
Engage the guide and install the rear door rear window frame moulding to the door frame.
Using an air riveter or hand riveter with a nose piece, install the rear door rear window frame moulding with 3 new rivets.
Tech Tips

When installing the rear door front window frame moulding, heat the vehicle body and rear door front window frame moulding sub-assembly using a heat light.

INSTALL REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY
Engage the 5 claws to install the rear door belt moulding assembly.
INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY
Tech Tips
When installing the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and rear door outside moulding sub-assembly using a heat light.

Using a heat light, heat the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Remove the double-sided tape from the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
Apply new double-sided tape to the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Install 8 new clips (quarter vent louver retainer) to the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Install the bolt to the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Install a new gasket to the bolt.

Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Remove the release paper from the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.

Engage the 8 clips and install the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Install the nut and hole plug.
INSTALL NO. 2 ACCESS PANEL WEATHERSTRIP

When installing the No. 2 access panel weatherstrip, heat the rear door panel protector and No. 2 access panel weatherstrip using a heat light.

Remove the double-sided tape from the No. 2 access panel weatherstrip.
Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
Apply new double-sided tape to the No. 2 access panel weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

When installing the rear door panel protector, heat the vehicle body and rear door panel protector using a heat light.

Engage the 11 clips and guide to install the rear door panel protector as shown in the illustration.
INSTALL REAR DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING
Install 4 new clips (quarter vent louver retainer) to the rear door lower outside moulding.
Engage the 4 clips and 5 claws to install the rear door lower outside moulding.
Engage the clip and connect the No. 2 access panel weatherstrip.
INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
Engage the door handle nut and claw.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly with the screw.
INSTALL REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Engage the 2 claws and install the rear door rear outside handle pad.
INSTALL REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Engage the 3 claws to install the rear door front outside handle pad.
INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
Insert the front end of the rear door outside handle assembly into the rear door outside handle frame.
Note
If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when installing the outside handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the outside handle and the release plate will be damaged.
Insert the rear end of the rear door outside handle assembly into the rear door outside handle frame. Next, slide the rear door outside handle assembly toward the front of the vehicle to install it.
Move the lever back in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to lock the door outside handle assembly.
INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
Engage the claw and install the rear door outside handle cover.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear door outside handle cover with the screw.
INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY
Install the rear door inside locking cable assembly.
Engage the 3 claws.
INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
Install the rear door lock remote control cable assembly.
Engage the claw.
INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
Note
When reusing the removed rear door lock assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal on the connector with a new one.
Do not allow grease or dust to adhere to the door lock wiring harness seal surface of the connector.
Reusing the door lock wiring harness seal or using a damaged door lock wiring harness seal may cause water intrusion. This may result in a malfunction of the rear door lock assembly.
Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the rear door lock assembly.
Install a new door lock wiring harness seal to the rear door lock assembly.
Insert the rear door lock assembly to the rear door outside handle release plate, and set it to the rear door panel.
Make sure that the rear door outside handle frame release plate is securely connected to the rear door lock assembly.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear door lock assembly with the 3 screws.
INSTALL REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Note
The regulator arm must be below the intermediate position when installing the rear power window regulator motor assembly.
Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear power window regulator motor assembly with the 3 screws.
Tech Tips
A new rear window regulator uses self-tapping screws to thread new installation holes when the self-tapping screws are inserted.
INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY
Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the rear door window regulator assembly.
Install the temporary bolt to the rear door window regulator assembly.

Temporarily install the rear door window regulator assembly.
Tighten the temporary bolt and 5 bolts to install the rear door window regulator assembly.
Tech Tips
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and the rear power window regulator motor connector.
Connect the power window regulator switch assembly and move the rear door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
w/ Navigation System for HDD:
Note
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly and rear power window regulator motor connector.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Click here.
Insert the rear door glass sub-assembly into the rear door panel along the rear door glass run as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
Install the rear door glass sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
Tech Tips
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
INSTALL REAR DOOR REAR GUIDE SEAL
Install the rear door rear guide seal with the 2 screws.
INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW REAR GUIDE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Install the temporary screw to the rear door window division bar sub-assembly.

Install the bolt and screw.
Tighten the temporary screw to install the rear door window rear guide sub-assembly.
INSTALL REAR DOOR VENT SEAL
Install the rear door vent seal.

Install the rear door glass run.
INSTALL REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

INSTALL REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the rear door check assembly.
Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

INSTALL REAR DOOR CHECK COVER
Install the rear door check cover.
INSTALL REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Apply butyl tape to the rear door panel.

Pass the rear door lock remote control cable assembly, rear door inside locking cable assembly and each connector through a new rear door service hole cover.
Attach the rear door service hole cover according to the reference points on the rear door panel.
Note
Securely install the rear door service hole cover preventing wrinkles and air bubbles.
Connect the 2 connectors.
INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BRACKET
Install the rear door trim bracket with the 2 screws.
INSTALL REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
Engage the clip to install the rear door frame garnish.
Install the 2 clips.
INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
Install the rear No. 1 speaker assembly with the 3 screws.
Connect the connector.
INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 12 or 15 Speakers)
Engage the 3 claws and install the rear No. 2 speaker assembly.
Engage the clamp.
INSTALL REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP
Engage the 4 claws and install the rear door inner glass weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.
INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
Install 2 new rear door trim board retainers (green).
Connect the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and rear door inside locking cable assembly.
for 12 Speakers or 15 Speakers:
Connect the connector.
Engage the rear door trim board sub-assembly with the 4 claws of the rear door inner glass weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

Connect the connector.
Engage the claw to install the courtesy light assembly.

Install the rear door armrest cover.
INSTALL REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL
Connect the connector.
Engage the 2 clips and 3 claws, and install the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
Engage the 3 claws and install the rear door inside handle bezel plug.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
