DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that the signals or signal lines between the parking assist ECU and the rear television camera assembly are not normal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When "System initializing" is displayed on the multi-display after the battery terminal disconnected, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA)


    1. A01NDS1E01

      Disconnect the F55 connector from the parking assist ECU.

    2. A01NI0EE04

      Disconnect the Y14 connector from the rear television camera assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F55-11 (CV-) - Y14-1 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F55-12 (CV+) - Y14-2 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F55-14 (CB+) - Y14-4 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F55-11 (CV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F55-12 (CV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F55-13 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F55-14 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Reconnect the F55 connector to the parking assist ECU.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the Y14 connector from the rear television camera assembly.

  4. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (CV+, GND1)


    1. Reconnect the Y14 connector to the rear television camera assembly.

    2. A01NFWRE01

      Reconnect the F54 and F55 connectors to the parking assist ECU.

      Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the parking assist ECU with the connector connected.
