LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer is an ECU-excited buzzer that sounds when it receives a pulsed digital pattern from the ECU. The ECU operates the buzzer using a sound pattern that changes depending on the distance to the obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the Lexus parking assist-sensor system on.

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body / Clearance Sonar / Active Test.

    6. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

      Disconnect the F52 connector from the clearance warning ECU.

    2. Disconnect the F27 connector from the clearance warning buzzer.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F52-10 (BBZ) - F27-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F52-11 (EF) - F27-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F52-10 (BBZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F52-11 (EF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER


    1. Replace the clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Disconnect the F27 connector from the clearance warning buzzer.
