TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note


    • After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 120 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When replacing the telematics transceiver, perform the vehicle contact setting Click here.

    • The G-BOOK device uses the telematics transceiver to provide access to the network service.

    • The telematics transceiver has a DCM ID (described on the label attached to the telematics transceiver).

  2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

      Remove the 3 clips and the rear deck floor box.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Move the shift lever to N.

    2. Pull the upper console panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 4 claws and 4 clips.

    3. w/o Seat Heater System:


      1. Disconnect the connector from the console box hole cover.

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Disengage the 4 claws.

      2. Disconnect the connector and remove the seat heater switch assembly.

      Pull the upper console panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 3 claws and 3 clips.

    6. Disconnect each connector.

    7. Disengage the clamp and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT

      Remove the 2 screws and the No. 2 console box duct.

  7. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System:


      1. Disengage the 4 claws and 6 clips, and remove the console rear end panel sub-assembly.

    2. w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:


      1. Disengage the 4 claws and 6 clips.

      2. Disconnect each connector and remove the console rear end panel sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the clip and guide.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the multi-media interface ECU assembly.

  9. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect each connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and 4 bolts.

      Pull the rear console box assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 8 guides and remove the rear console box assembly.

  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH


    1. A01NGMK

      Using moulding remover B, disengage the 6 clips and remove the instrument panel garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE


    1. A01NFNE

      Push the No. 1 switch hole base in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 switch hole base.

  12. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 claws and open the cover as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01NG78

      Remove the 2 screws <D>.

    3. Disengage the 8 clips and 2 guides.

    4. Disconnect each connector and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL


    1. A01NG2R

      Pull the instrument panel finish panel in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the claw, 2 clips and 2 guides, and remove the instrument panel finish panel.

  14. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      Pull the lower instrument panel finish panel in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 7 clips and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel.

  15. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX COVER

      Using moulding remover A, disengage the 2 clips and 5 guides.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the front console box cover.

  16. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX (for LHD)

      Remove the 5 screws <D>.

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. Remove the 3 clips.

    4. Disengage the 3 guides and remove the console box as shown in the illustration.

  17. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX (for RHD)

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. Remove the 2 clips.

    4. Disengage the 3 guides and remove the console box as shown in the illustration.

  18. REMOVE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the telematics transceiver with bracket.

  19. REMOVE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER WITH BRACKET (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Disconnect the 7 connectors.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the telematics transceiver with bracket.

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Remove the 3 nuts and rear seat entertainment ECU assembly.

  21. REMOVE TELEPHONE BRACKET


    1. A01NE8F

      Remove the 3 nuts and telephone bracket.

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 TELEPHONE BRACKET


    1. A01NF1L

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 telephone bracket.

  23. REMOVE NO. 2 TELEPHONE BRACKET


    1. A01NFUS

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 telephone bracket.

  24. REMOVE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER
