NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD) HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the navigation system.

  • *: Use the intelligent tester.


  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard Voltage
      11 to 14 V

      • If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONING AND SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION


    1. Ask the customer about symptoms and confirm malfunctions.

      • Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.

      • If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the intelligent tester.

      • Check the DTCs and inspect the area that the code indicates.
