NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for DVD) DTC CHECK / CLEAR


  1. CHECK DTC (CHECK USING INTELLIGENT TESTER)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Navigation System / DTC.

    5. Check the DTC(s) and freeze frame data, and then write them down.

    6. Check the details of the DTC(s) Click here.

      Note

      The navigation system outputs DTCs for the following systems. When DTCs other than those in the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the navigation system are output, refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the system.

  2. CLEAR DTC (CLEAR USING INTELLIGENT TESTER)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Navigation System / DTC.

    5. Clear DTCs.

  3. START DIAGNOSTIC MODE

    Tech Tips


    • Illustrations may differ from the actual vehicle screen depending on the device settings and options. Therefore, some detailed areas may not be shown exactly the same as on the actual vehicle screen.

    • To help find the malfunction when the system can not change to diagnostic mode, check for DTCs using the intelligent tester.

    • After the power switch is turned on (IG), check that the map is displayed before starting the diagnostic mode. Otherwise, some items cannot be checked.


    1. There are 2 methods to start diagnostic mode. Start the mode by using one of them.

    2. Method 1


      1. Start the hybrid system.

      2. A01NHUDE01

        While pressing and holding the "MENU" switch, operate the light control switch: off → Turn on → Turn off → Turn on → Turn off → Turn on → Turn off.

      3. The diagnostic mode starts and the "Service Menu" screen will be displayed.

    3. Method 2


      1. Start the hybrid system.

      2. A01NI08E01

        Confirm that the map screen is displayed, and then press the "DISP" switch.

      3. A01NGFFE01

        From the display quality adjustment screen, select the upper and lower left corners of the screen in the following sequence, pressing "ENTER" each time: upper left a lower left a upper left a lower left a upper left a lower left.

        Tech Tips


        • Make sure that only "Contrast" and "Brightness" are displayed on the bottom of the screen, and then start entering the menus as shown above.

        • If any other items are displayed on the bottom of the screen, diagnostic mode cannot be entered even after the menus are entered as shown above. Be sure to perform this procedure in the correct order.

      4. The diagnostic mode starts and the "Service Menu" screen will be displayed.

  4. FINISH DIAGNOSTIC MODE


    1. There are 2 methods to end the diagnostic mode. Use one of them.


      1. Turn the power switch off.

      2. A01NHJSE01

        Press and hold the "MAP" switch for 3 seconds.

  5. FAILURE DIAGNOSIS


    1. A01NEZK

      The "Failure Diagnosis" screen will be displayed by pressing the "Failure Diagnosis" switch on the "Service Menu" screen.

  6. SYSTEM CHECK


    1. A01NDTM

      The "System Check Mode" screen will be displayed by pressing the "System Check" switch on the "Failure Diagnosis" screen.

      Read the system check result.


      1. If the check result is "EXCH" or "CHEK", touch the displayed check result to view the results on the "Unit Check Mode" screen and record them.

        Note

        A maximum of 6 DTCs can be displayed by the display and navigation module display. When more than 6 DTCs are expected, check DTCs using the intelligent tester.

        Tech Tips


        • When all results are "OK", this means that no DTCs are present.

        • When "MOST" is displayed for the result, press the steering pad switch assembly to display the "MOST Line Check" and check the MOST network.

        • Changing to the "MOST Line Check" screen is possible only when the MOST network is malfunctioning and "MOST" is displayed for the result.

        • If the MOST network had a malfunction in the past, the DTCs will be displayed in the Memory column.

        • When "NCON" is displayed for all devices connected using the AVC-LAN, or when all device names are not displayed, check if there is a short circuit in the AVC-LAN or devices connected to the AVC-LAN. Repair or replace parts as necessary Click here.

        • When proceeding to view the results of another device, press the "Back" switch to return to the "System Check Mode" screen. Repeat the step above to view the results of other devices.

        Note

        The navigation system outputs DTCs for the following systems. When DTCs other than those in the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the navigation system are output, refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the relevant system.

  8. DTC CLEAR/RECHECK (CLEAR USING SYSTEM CHECK MODE SCREEN)


    1. A01NEM9

      Clear DTC


      1. Press the "Memory CLR" switch for 3 seconds.

      2. The check results are cleared.

        Tech Tips


        • To clear the DTC for a specific device, clear the DTC using the "Unit Check Mode" screen.

        • When clearing a DTC using the "Unit Check Mode" screen, press the "Code CLR" switch for 3 seconds.

    2. A01NCTR

      Recheck


      1. Press the "Recheck" switch.

      2. A01NGPG

        Confirm that all diagnostic codes are "OK" when the check results are displayed. If a code other than "OK" is displayed, troubleshoot again.

        Tech Tips

        When a DTC was cleared using the "Unit Check Mode" screen, press the "Back" switch to return to the "System Check Mode" screen and perform this operation.
