AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/o Navigation System) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends the microphone signal from the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) to the radio receiver assembly.

It also supplies power source from the radio receiver assembly to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly).

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

      Disconnect the map light assembly and radio receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T10-36 (SNS2) - G10-1 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      T10-34 (MCO+) - G10-2 (MIN+) Always Below 1 Ω
      T10-35 (MCO-) - G10-5 (MIN-) Always Below 1 Ω
      T10-33 (MACC) - G10-3 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      T10-36 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T10-34 (MCO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T10-35 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T10-33 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Reconnect the radio receiver assembly and map light assembly connectors.

    2. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

    3. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals T10-34 (MCO+) and T10-35 (MCO-) of the map light assembly connector.

    4. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using an oscilloscope.

  5. REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY
