CB-44 When a USB device with an incompatible file system, corrupted or incompatible File Allocation Table (FAT) is connected.

  • "iPod"

CB-51 When an "iPod" with an unsupported firmware is connected.
CB-7D When an unsupported model of "iPod" is connected.

Tech Tips

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE


  1. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"


    1. Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

    2. Turn the power switch off.

      Tech Tips

      When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the power switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.

    3. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

    4. Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

      Tech Tips


      • If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.

  3. RECHECK FOR DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC occurs again.

      Tech Tips

      If DTCs are detected frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.
