Apply Primer G to the installation part of the back window outside moulding.

If primer is applied to an area that is not specified, wipe off the primer with a non-residue solvent before it dries.

INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER

Install 2 new back door glass spacers onto the back door glass, as shown in the illustration.

INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS
Using a brush, coat the installation surface on the vehicle body with Primer M.
Note
Do not coat the adhesive with Primer M.
Do not apply too much primer.
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Throw away any leftover primer.
Tech Tips
If an area other than that specified is coated by accident, wipe off the primer with a clean piece of cloth before it dries.
Using a brush or a sponge, coat the application area of the adhesive with Primer G.
Note
Do not apply too much primer.
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
Throw away any leftover primer.

Apply Primer G onto the ceramic notches.

Apply adhesive to the back door glass.

After cutting off the tip, use all the adhesive within the time described in the table below.

Load the sealer gun with cartridge.
Apply adhesive to the back door glass as shown in the illustration.
Install the back door glass.
Position the back door glass so that the matchmarks are aligned, and press it in gently along the rim (when glass without a clip is used).
Lightly press the back door glass to ensure that the back door glass is securely fit to the vehicle body (when glass without a clip is used).
Tech Tips
Press the glass with a force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22 lbf) or more.
Using suction cups, engage the 2 clips to install the back door glass (when glass with all clips is used).
Note
Check that the clips are attached to the vehicle body correctly.
Check the clearance between the vehicle body and back door glass.
Lightly press the front surface of the back door glass to ensure that the back door glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.
Tech Tips
Press the back door glass with a force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22 lbf) or more.
Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.
Tech Tips
Apply adhesive onto the glass rim.
Hold the back door glass using protective tape until applied adhesive becomes hard.
Note
Do not drive the vehicle within the time described in the table below.

Engage the 2 clamps.
Connect the 3 connectors.
INSPECT FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
After the adhesive has hardened, apply water from the outside of the vehicle. Check that no water leaks into the cabin.
If water leaks into the cabin, allow the water to dry and add adhesive.
Remove the protective tape.
INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor at the automatic stop position.
When reusing the rear wiper arm and blade assembly:

Clean the wiper arm serrations.
When reusing the rear wiper motor assembly:

Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

Install the rear wiper arm and blade assembly with the nut to the position shown in the illustration.

Tech Tips
Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.
Operate the rear wiper while spraying washer fluid onto the back door glass. Make sure that the rear wiper functions properly and the wiper does not come into contact with the vehicle body.
INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Install the 2 pins.
Install a new clip.
Engage the clip and 2 pins to install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.
Install the 5 nuts.
Install the 2 hole plugs.
Connect each connector.

Install the 2 screws.

Engage the 2 claws to install the back door upper trim cover LH.

Engage the 2 claws to install the back door upper trim cover RH.
INSTALL NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Connect the connector.
Engage the claw to install the No. 2 room light assembly.
INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK COVER
Engage the 4 claws to install the back door lock cover.
INSTALL BACK DOOR FINISH COVER LH (w/o Power Back Door)
Engage the 6 claws to install the back door finish cover LH.
INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM BASE (w/ Power Back Door)
Engage the 4 claws to install the back door trim base.
INSTALL BACK DOOR FINISH COVER RH (w/o Power Back Door)
Engage the 6 claws to install the back door finish cover RH.
INSTALL DOOR PULL HANDLE WITH SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door)
Connect the connector.
Engage the 6 claws to install the door pull handle with switch.
