FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LHD vehicle.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING REAR CUSHION LH

      Temporarily install a new front suspension member body mounting rear cushion LH while confirming the installation direction.

      Note

      Position the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion in the correct direction.

      Install SST as shown in the illustration.

      *2 Turn

      Using SST, install the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion LH as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Check that there is no clearance between the front suspension member and the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion LH.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING REAR CUSHION RH


    1. A01NDZQE01

      Temporarily install a new front suspension member body mounting rear cushion RH while confirming the installation direction.

      Note

      Position the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion in the correct direction.

    2. Using SST, install the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion RH.

      09830-10010   ( 09830-01010, 09830-01020, 09830-01030, 09830-01060 )

      Tech Tips

      Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING FRONT CUSHION


    1. A01NCOCE01

      Temporarily install a new front suspension member body mounting front cushion while confirming the installation direction.

      Note

      Position the front suspension member body mounting front cushion in the correct direction.

      Using SST, install the front suspension member body mounting front cushion as shown in the illustration.

      SST
      09830-10010   ( 09830-01010, 09830-01020, 09830-01030, 09830-01060 )

      Note

      Check that there is no clearance between the front suspension member and the front suspension member body mounting front cushion.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING REAR STOPPER

  5. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING FRONT STOPPER

  6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER DYNAMIC DAMPER (w/ Active Stabilizer System)


    1. A01NHOB

      Install the front suspension member dynamic damper with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER DYNAMIC DAMPER (w/o Active Stabilizer System)


    1. A01NED4E01

      Install the front suspension member dynamic damper with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER DYNAMIC DAMPER


    1. A01NHI4

      Install the front suspension member dynamic damper with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM LH


    1. Install the front lower arm bushing stopper to the front lower suspension arm.

    2. Install the front lower suspension arm to the front frame assembly with the 3 bolts and nut, but do not tighten them yet.

    3. A01NDKUE01

      Tighten the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Bolt 1, 2
      200 N*m  { 2039 kgf*cm, 147 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt 3
      135 N*m  { 1377 kgf*cm, 100 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Install the bolts on the front side of the vehicle first.

  10. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

  11. INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01NEGO

      Install the rear engine mounting insulator assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      52 N*m  { 530 kgf*cm, 38 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear engine mounting insulator assembly is necessary.

    2. Install the 2 hole plugs.

  12. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH


    1. A01NFUJE01

      Install the engine mounting insulator RH with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      87 N*m  { 887 kgf*cm, 64 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting insulator RH is necessary.

    2. Install the 2 hole plugs.

  13. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH


    1. A01NFEXE01

      Install the engine mounting insulator LH with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      87 N*m  { 887 kgf*cm, 64 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting insulator LH is necessary.

    2. Install the 2 hole plugs.

  14. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR


    1. A01NE53

      Install the front engine mounting insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      52 N*m  { 530 kgf*cm, 38 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front engine mounting insulator is necessary.

    2. Install the 2 hole plugs.

  15. INSTALL FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY


    1. A01NDZ6

      Install the engine mounting insulators RH and LH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      95 N*m  { 969 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the HV transaxle mass damper with the bolt.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01NE5M

      Install the front engine mounting insulator with the nut.

      Torque:
      87 N*m  { 887 kgf*cm, 64 ft.*lbf }
    4. A01NDCA

      Install the rear engine mounting insulator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      75 N*m  { 765 kgf*cm, 55 ft.*lbf }
    5. A01NE2D

      Connect the engine wire with the 2 clamps.

  16. INSTALL STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01NEB6

      Install the steering link assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      70 N*m  { 713 kgf*cm, 51 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Make sure to tighten the bolts starting from the steering link assembly pinion shaft side.

      • Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  17. INSTALL FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Active Stabilizer System)


    1. Install the front active stabilizer control actuator assembly with front stabilizer link assembly.

  18. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)


    1. A01NH7Q

      Install the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH to the front frame assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  19. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

  20. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR WITH FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY (w/o Active Stabilizer System)


    1. Install the front stabilizer bar with front stabilizer link assembly.

  21. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH (w/o Active Stabilizer System)


    1. A01NEGE

      Install the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH to the front frame assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  22. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH (w/o Active Stabilizer System)

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

  23. INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE
