SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU (for RHD) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

    Note

    After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

      Remove the 3 clips and the rear deck floor box.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Click here.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

      Disengage the 7 claws, 4 clips and guide, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      A part of the clip remains on the vehicle side.

    2. w/ Illumination:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

  8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)

  12. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX LH


    1. A01NF5X

      Disconnect each connector.

    2. A01NG3H

      Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and ECU integration box LH.

  15. SEPARATE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01NFT5

      Remove the nut and bolt, and separate the instrument panel junction block assembly.

  16. REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU


    1. A01NDFM

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the suspension control ECU from the body.

      Note


      • Avoid any impact to the suspension control ECU.

      • Do not drop the ECU. If the ECU is dropped, replace it with a new one.

    2. Disconnect the 3 connectors and remove the suspension control ECU.
