SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

  1. INSPECT VEHICLE HEIGHT

    Note

    • Make sure that the tire pressure is normal.

    • Make sure that the vehicle is unloaded.

    • Make sure that the parking brake is released and that the shift lever is in N.

    1. Adjust the tire pressure.

    2. Stabilize the suspension by releasing the parking brake and bounce the corners of the vehicle up and down.

    3. Turn the power switch off.

    4. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    5. Turn the power switch on (IG) and the intelligent tester on.

    6. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Air Suspension / Data List.

    7. Press the height control switch and adjust the vehicle height to "HEIGHT HIGH".

    8. Press the height control switch and return the vehicle height to normal.

    9. Inspect the vehicle height Click here.

  2. ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (VEHICLE HEIGHT OFFSET CALIBRATION)

    1. Adjust the vehicle height Click here.

      Note

If the difference in actual vehicle height and the standard vehicle height exceeds 80 mm (3.15 in.), this adjustment cannot be performed using the intelligent tester. In order to proceed with this adjustment using the intelligent tester, first adjust the height control sensor links as necessary until the difference between actual vehicle height and the standard vehicle height is less than 80 mm (3.15 in.).

  3. ADJUST HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Side)

    Note

    • Adjust the link of which the value for the vehicle height control is most beyond the range of the standard value first.

    • If the values of the front vehicle height and the rear vehicle height are the same, adjust the front vehicle height control sensor link first.

    1. Adjust the front vehicle height control sensor links.

      1. A01NEIZ

Loosen the nut and adjust the link position by moving it up and down along the bracket's hole on the vehicle.

        Tech Tips

The vehicle height will be changed by approx. 5.6 mm (0.220 in.) when changing the link by approx. 1 mm (0.0394 in.).

      2. Tighten the nut on the vehicle height control sensor link.

        Torque:
        5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  4. ADJUST HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Rear Side)

    1. Adjust the rear height control sensor links.

      1. A01NDFQ

Loosen the nut and adjust the link position by moving it up and down along the bracket's hole on the vehicle.
