ACTIVE STABILIZER SUSPENSION SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1905

DTC Code DTC Name
C1905 Timeout Initialization Check of Rear Actuator

DESCRIPTION

Immediately after turning the power switch on (READY), the rear active stabilizer control ECU checks the condition of the active stabilizer suspension system. If there is a malfunction during the check, the initial check does not complete, resulting in the output of DTC C1905. Also, the initial check can determine if the rear active stabilizer control ECU is in the front or rear of the vehicle, and if the front active stabilizer control ECU is in the front or rear of the vehicle. This DTC is output by a normally recognized rear active stabilizer control ECU when a malfunction in the front side occurs.

  • Front active stabilizer control ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Check that the wire harness connectors between the front active stabilizer control ECU and front active stabilizer control actuator assembly are not loose or disconnected and that the wire harness is not damaged.

      OK
Connectors are not loose or disconnected. Wire harness is not damaged.

      Tech Tips

If the wire harness of the front active stabilizer control actuator assembly is damaged, replace the front active stabilizer control actuator assembly Click here.

  2. CHECK DTC (C1959, C193C)

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (READY) and the intelligent tester on.

    4. Check that front active stabilizer side DTCs (C1959 and/or C193C) are not output Click here.

      OK
      DTCs C1959 and/or C193C are not output.

  3. CHECK DTC (POWER STEERING SYSTEM)

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (READY) and the intelligent tester on.

    4. Check that power steering system DTCs are not output Click here.

      OK
      DTC is not output.

    NG
    OK
  4. INTERCHANGE FRONT AND REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Interchange the front active stabilizer control ECU with the rear active stabilizer control ECU, and install them securely Click here.

  5. CLEAR DTC

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and the intelligent tester on.

    4. Clear the DTC Click here.

  6. CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU

    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait 30 seconds or more. Then check for front active stabilizer DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC C192D is not output.

      Tech Tips

Interchange the front and rear active stabilizer control ECUs and check for DTCs. After interchanging the ECUs, if a front active stabilizer DTC is stored, it can be determined that the front active stabilizer control ECU is malfunctioning.
