AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and check the height control indicator on the combination meter.

      OK
      After the height control indicator ("HI", "N", "LO") and luggage mode indicator illuminate for approximately 2 seconds, the actual vehicle height is indicated by the height control mode indicator and the other indicators go off.
  2. INSPECT VEHICLE HEIGHT SELECTION

    Tech Tips

    Perform this inspection with the vehicle unloaded.


    1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    2. Using the height control switch (driver seat), check the vehicle height adjustment amount and vehicle height adjustment time for each vehicle height mode.

      Tech Tips

      The select mode light of the height control indicator blinks during vehicle height adjustment and remains on after the vehicle height adjustment is completed.

      *: Time when transitioning between modes after the power switch has been turned off and then turned on for 60 seconds to discharge compressed air from the pneumatic tank assembly when lowering the vehicle.

    3. Using the height control switch (luggage compartment), check the vehicle height adjustment amount and vehicle height adjustment time for each vehicle height mode.

      The select mode light of the height control indicator blinks during vehicle height adjustment and remains on after the vehicle height adjustment is completed.

  3. INSPECT AUTO-LEVELING FUNCTION


    1. Unload the vehicle.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Select "N mode".

    4. Check that the N mode light blinks and then remains on.

      Tech Tips

      The selected mode light on the height control indicator blinks while the vehicle height is changing and remains on when the target height is obtained.

    5. Turn the power switch off and wait for 60 seconds or more.

      Tech Tips

      The auto-leveling function is only able to lower the vehicle for 60 seconds after the power switch is turned off.

    6. Load the vehicle with 4 people (2 at the front seats and 2 at the rear seats).

      Tech Tips

      Each person should weigh approximately 55 kg (121.3 lbs).

    7. Turn the power switch on (READY) and inspect the vehicle height adjustment time.

      Standard time
      10 to 30 seconds
    8. With the power switch on (READY), wait for 60 seconds to discharge compressed air from the pneumatic tank assembly.

    9. Turn the power switch off and wait for 60 seconds or more.

      Tech Tips

      The auto-leveling function is only able to lower the vehicle for 60 seconds after the power switch is turned off.

    10. Unload the vehicle.

    11. Turn the power switch on (READY) and inspect the vehicle height adjustment time.
