EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH (w/ Air Suspension)

      Remove the 3 nuts and front shock absorber cap.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP RH (w/ Air Suspension)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  4. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector (w/ Windshield Deicer).

    2. Disengage the grommet and clamp, and separate the wire harness.

    3. A01NFEQ

      Remove the 6 nuts, 4 bolts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator assembly Click here.

  6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

      *2 Screw

      Remove the clip (A).

    2. Disconnect the 2 clips (B).

    3. Remove the 2 screws, 4 bolts and front floor cover LH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).

      Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 compression springs and No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 3 gaskets from the No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE


    1. A01NHTU

      Remove the bolt, 4 nuts, No. 1 EGR pipe and 2 gaskets.

  10. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A01NFH3

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 1).

    2. A01NDLS

      Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

  11. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for bank 1 and bank 2.

  13. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01NCTL

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and No. 2 oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 2).

    2. A01NEJVE01

      Loosen the bolt (A).

    3. Remove the 2 bolts (B), 2 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.

    4. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY


    1. A01NERI

      Remove the bolt, nut and No. 2 manifold stay.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE


    1. Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

    2. A01NDZG

      Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.

    3. A01NEKR

      Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR


    1. A01NHIN

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 1).

    2. Disconnect the sensor wire from the radiator pipe clamp.

    3. A01NDHM

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.

  17. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01NGUO

      Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

  18. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET LH


    1. A01NHE4E01

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket LH from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  19. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR NO.2 (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)


    1. A01NDS4E01

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold LH.
