FRAME WIRE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL NO. 3 WIRE FRAME

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulating gloves.


    1. Install the No. 3 wire frame with the 3 clamps.

    2. w/ Active Stabilizer System:


      1. A01NEA3E01

        Connect the 3 connectors (A) as shown in the illustration.

      2. Connect the connector and 2 clamps.

      3. Install the bolt.

        Torque:
        8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

      Pass the No. 3 wire frame into the cabin and install the 2 clamps as shown in the illustration.

      Install the 3 nuts shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

      Install the nut shown in the illustration. (for AWD)

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

      Pass the No. 3 wire frame into the cabin and install the 2 nuts and bolt shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }
      Nut
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

      Install the 2 nuts and water hose bracket.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
    8. A01NFPK

      Install the nut and heater pipe.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    9. w/ Active Stabilizer System:


      1. A01ND5W

        Install the 2 nuts and wire harness bracket.

        Torque:
        8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
      2. A01NCPY

        Connect the 2 clamps.

      3. A01NEUF

        Connect the 2 connectors as shown in the illustration.

    10. A01NFIX

      Install the 2 bolts and wire harness bracket.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    11. A01NHLL

      Connect the clamp shown in the illustration.

    12. A01NEER

      Connect the 2 clamps shown in the illustration.

    13. A01ND0I

      Connect the 2 water hose clamps shown in the illustration.

    14. A01NEVX

      Install the bolt and clamp as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Install the bolt and 4 clamps as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

      Connect the 2 connectors as shown in the illustration.

    17. A01NF7R

      Install the nut and clamp to the engine room junction block assembly.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

      Install the No. 3 relay block cover.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR (w/ Active Stabilizer System)


    1. A01NGGW

      Engage the 2 craws and install the No. 2 luggage compartment side cover protector.

    2. Install the 3 clips and 2 bolts.

    3. Install the 4 screws.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }
    4. A01NGGR

      Install the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    5. Install a new grommet.

  3. INSTALL REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)


    1. Install the rear quarter panel mudguard sub-assembly Click here.

      Tech Tips

      This step is not necessary for vehicles without the rear fender mudguard.

  4. INSTALL NO. 6 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR


    1. A01NECB

      Install the No. 6 wiring harness protector with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  5. CONNECT REAR TRACTION MOTOR WITH TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulating gloves.

      Connect the No. 3 wire frame to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01NG5F

      Connect the 2 connectors and clamp to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

  6. CONNECT POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulating gloves.


    1. A01NGBC

      Install the bolt and clamp, and connect the connector to the power steering converter assembly.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }
    2. A01NDUP

      Install the bolt and connector to the power steering converter assembly.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 POWER STEERING BRACKET


    1. A01NE44

      Install the No. 1 power steering bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  8. CONNECT HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulating gloves.

      Connect the No. 3 wire frame to the hybrid battery junction block assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • Make sure that the ends of the No. 3 wire frame are not crossed over each other.

      • Be sure to connect the No. 3 wire frame to each correct terminal as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the No. 3 wire frame connector to the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

    3. Connect the No. 3 wire frame with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

  9. CHECK HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE CONNECTION

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.


    1. Check that each wire harness is being installed securely.

      Note


      • Make sure that the end of the No. 3 wire frame do not cross each other.

      • Be sure to connect the No. 3 wire frame to each correct terminal as shown in the illustration.

      • The connectors should be connected securely.

      • The nuts should be fastened securely.

      • Make sure that the 4 plastic covers are engaged securely.

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 BATTERY COVER LID

      Install the battery cover lock striker, then push the button to lock.

    2. Install the No. 1 battery cover lid with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  11. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front floor carpet.

  12. INSTALL AIR INTAKE COVER


    1. Install the air intake cover RH.

        Install the air intake cover RH with the 2 claws and the 2 screws.

      2. Install the 2 hole covers.

    2. Install the air intake cover CTR.

        Install the air intake cover CTR with the 2 claws and the 2 screws.

      2. Install the 2 hole covers.

    3. Install the air intake cover LH.

        Install the air intake cover LH with the 2 claws and the 2 screws.

      2. Install the 2 hole covers.

  13. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE COVER LH


    1. A01NFWF

      Engage the 2 claws and 3 clips.

    2. Install the rear seat side cover LH with the 2 clips.

  14. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

      Engage the 2 claws and the 5 clips to install the lower center pillar garnish LH.

  16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. w/ Illumination:


      1. Connect the connector.

    2. A01NHW7

      Engage the 4 clips, guide and 7 claws, and install the front door scuff plate LH.

  17. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. A01NEW9

      Engage the 3 clips, guide and 6 claws, and install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  18. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

      Install the inverter tray bracket sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      17 N*m  { 173 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }

  28. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    Note

    Before connecting the service plug, check that no parts and tools remain and that the high voltage terminals and connectors are connected securely.

      Wear insulated gloves and insert the service plug grip in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Tilt the service plug grip 90° and slide it down until a click sound is heard.

  29. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER

      Engage the 2 clips, 2 guides and install the battery service hole cover.

      Note

      Make sure that the battery service hole cover is installed securely.

  30. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY TERMINAL

      Connect the 2 clamps.

    2. Install the nut, and connect the connector to the positive battery terminal.

      Torque:
      7.6 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 67 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the negative battery terminal.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf }
