  1. INSTALL INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR


    1. A0118JT

      Install 3 new injector vibration insulators to the cylinder head.

  2. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 O-ring

      Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to the contact surfaces of a new O-ring, and install it onto the injector.

      While turning the fuel injector assembly left and right, install it onto the fuel delivery pipe.

      Note


      • Do not twist the O-ring.

      • Check that the fuel injector assemblies rotate smoothly after installing it onto the fuel delivery pipe. If the fuel injector assembly does not rotate smoothly, replace the O-ring with a new one and install it again.

  3. INSTALL FUEL PIPE INSULATOR


    1. A0118IV

      Install the 2 fuel pipe insulators onto the fuel delivery pipe.

  4. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A011AQY

      Install the fuel delivery pipe with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      27 N*m  { 275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Do not drop the fuel injector assembly.

      • After installing, check that the fuel injector assembly is securely connected by turning it by hand.

    2. A0119ZX

      Connect the 3 fuel injector assembly connectors.

      Engage the 3 harness clamps and connect the 3 connectors.

  5. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A0118RW

      Line up the pipe and connector and push them together until a "click" sound is heard.

      Note


      • If the pipe is difficult to push into the connector, apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the tip of the pipe and reinsert it

      • After connecting, check that the pipe and connector are securely connected by pulling on them.

  6. INSTALL EFI FUEL PIPE CLAMP

      Install the No. 1 fuel pipe clamp.

  7. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. Install the intake manifold Click here.

  8. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK


    1. Check fuel pump operation.


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intelligent tester main switch on.

        Note

        Do not start the engine.

      3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump /Speed.

      4. Check for pressure in the fuel inlet tube from the fuel line. Check that sounds of fuel flowing from the fuel tank can be heard. If no sounds can be heard, check the integration relay, fuel pump, ECM and wiring connectors.

    2. Inspect for fuel leaks.


      1. Check for fuel leaks from the fuel system after doing any maintenance or repairs. If there is a fuel leak, repair or replace parts if necessary.

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.

    4. Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.
