DESCRIPTION

The air outlet control servo motor sends pulse signals to inform the air conditioning amplifier of the damper position. The air conditioning amplifier activates the motor (normal, reverse) based on the signals to move the air outlet damper to any position, which controls the air outlet switching.

Tech Tips

Confirm that no mechanical problem is present because this diagnostic trouble code can be output when either a damper link or damper is mechanically locked.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (AIR OUTLET SERVO PULSE (D))


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Air Conditioner / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

  2. REPLACE AIR OUTLET CONTROL SERVO MOTOR


    1. Temporarily replace the air outlet control servo motor with a new one Click here.

      Tech Tips

      Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a new one and check that the condition returns to normal.
