SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. INSPECT DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. When the driver side seat belt is not fastened, check that the driver side seat belt warning light on the combination meter blinks.

    3. When the driver side seat belt is fastened, check that the driver side seat belt warning light on the combination meter is off.

  2. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. When the front passenger side seat belt is not fastened with the front passenger side seat occupied, check that the front passenger side seat belt warning light on the telltale light assembly blinks.

    3. When the front passenger side seat belt is fastened with the front passenger side seat occupied, check that the front passenger side seat belt warning light on the telltale light assembly is off.

  3. INSPECT REAR SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check that after turning the ignition switch to ON, the rear seat belt warning lights (right and left) in the telltale light assembly turn on for 34 seconds, and then turn off.

    2. When the ignition switch is ON and the rear seat belts are fastened or unfastened, check that the rear seat belt warning lights (right and left) in the telltale light assembly are turned on until the ignition switch turns off (step A).

    3. When the light is on in step (A), and when the right rear seat belt is fastened, check that the rear seat belt warning light (right) in the telltale light assembly turns off.

    4. When the light is on in step (A), and when the left rear seat belt is fastened, check that the rear seat belt warning light (left) in the telltale light assembly turns off.
