Tech Tips
The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.
INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR
Confirm that the ignition switch is off.
Confirm that the cable to the negative battery terminal is disconnected.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Confirm that the negative battery terminal is disconnected before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.
Insert the hook into the body hole and install the airbag sensor with the bolt.
Note
Do not use a side airbag sensor that has been dropped.
Do not subject the side airbag sensor to any impact or force.
Confirm that there is no looseness by shaking the side airbag sensor.

Connect the airbag connector.
INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE TRIM ASSEMBLY RH
Engage the 6 clips and install the side No. 1 trim.
INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER RH
Engage the 5 claws and install the deck trim side belt hole cover.
INSTALL BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
INSTALL REAR DECK TRIM COVER
Engage the 6 claws.
Install the rear deck trim cover with the 2 clips.
INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
Engage the 9 claws and install the front door scuff plate.
INSTALL REAR SEAT SUB FLOOR BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Seat Assembly)
Install the rear floor board with the 6 bolts.
INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Assembly)

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
