SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (for Front) REMOVAL

CAUTION:

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH RH

      Disengage the clip and 2 guides and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

  3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL RH

      *1 Moulding Remover

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws and remove the front armrest base upper panel.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL RH

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel.

  5. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER RH

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws and remove the door assist grip cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws.

      Disengage the 10 clips and 6 claws.

    4. A011AHT

      Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable and remove the front door trim board.

  7. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

    CAUTION:

    Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the battery negative (-) terminal. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.

      Slide the outer housing and disconnect the airbag connector.

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the side airbag sensor.
