CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Click here.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  2. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for EE53)


    1. Remove the floor shift shift lever assembly Click here.

  3. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for EE65)


    1. Remove the floor shift shift lever assembly Click here.

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for CVT)


    1. Remove the shift lever assembly Click here.

  5. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    Confirm that the negative battery terminal is disconnected before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.


    1. Pull the lever down and detach the connector holder.

      Remove the 3 bolts and remove the airbag sensor.
