REAR WINDOW CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing

  2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the roof headlining assembly Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR WINDOW CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 3 clips.

        Using a clip remover, remove the pin.

        Using needle-nose pliers, remove the clip and rear window curtain shield airbag from the body as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Locking Button

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, release the locking button.

    3. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the airbag connector.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and rear window curtain shield airbag assembly.

    5. Remove the 3 clips and 3 spacers from the rear window curtain shield airbag assembly.

      Note

      If clips and spacers are removed, always replace them with new ones even though they may not appear to be damaged.
