SEAT HEATER SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

INSPECT SEAT HEATER LH

   *1	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH)

   for LHD:

   
   

   1. Disconnect the G11 front seat inner belt connector.

   2. Check that the seat heater functions.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Seat cushion heater becomes warm Seatback heater becomes warm

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion assembly, the seatback assembly or the front seat inner belt assembly.

   3. Reconnect the front seat inner belt connector.

   for RHD:

   
   

   1. Disconnect the G8 front seat wire connector.

   2. Check that the seat heater functions.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Seat cushion heater becomes warm Seatback heater becomes warm

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion assembly, the seatback assembly or the front seat wire.

   3. Reconnect the front seat wire connector.

INSPECT SEAT HEATER RH

   for LHD:

   
   

   1. Disconnect the G12 front seat wire connector.

   2. Check that the seat heater functions.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Seat cushion heater becomes warm Seatback heater becomes warm

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion assembly, the seatback assembly or the front seat wire.

   3. Reconnect the front seat wire connector.

   1. Disconnect the G7 front seat inner belt connector.

   2. Check that the seat heater functions.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Seat cushion heater becomes warm Seatback heater becomes warm

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion assembly, the seatback assembly or the front seat inner belt assembly.

   3. Reconnect the front seat inner belt connector.
