FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Click here.

Note


  • Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

  • for Cover Integrated Type
    If the front seat side airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, or seatback cover with pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
  • for Cover Separate Type
    If the front seat side airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover or separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

Tech Tips

The procedure described below is for the driver side for LHD. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides of LHD, unless otherwise specified.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

      Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.


      1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

      Using "TORX" socket wrench E10, remove the 4 bolts and front seat.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. for LHD front passenger seat:

        Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

      2. Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.


        1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

      3. Disconnect the front seat cushion airbag connector.


        1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

      4. Disconnect the front seat wire.

    2. for RHD front passenger seat:

        Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

      2. Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.


        1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

      3. Disconnect the front seat cushion airbag connector.


        1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

      4. Disconnect the front seat wire.

      Using "TORX" socket wrench E10, remove the 4 bolts and front seat.
