CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Click here.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the roof headlining assembly Click here.

  3. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the 5 clips.

        Using a clip remover, remove the pin.

        Using needle-nose pliers, remove the clip and curtain shield airbag from the body as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Locking Button

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, release the locking button.

    3. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the airbag connector.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and curtain shield airbag assembly.

    5. Remove the 5 clips and 5 spacers from the curtain shield airbag assembly.

      Note

      If clips and spacers are removed, always replace them with new ones even though they may not appear to be damaged.
