FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Click here.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • When storing the front passenger airbag, keep the upper surface of the airbag deployment side facing upward.

  2. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL


    1. Remove the upper instrument panel Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 6 hooks and remove the front passenger airbag.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, release the locking button.

    2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, disconnect the airbag connectors and remove the instrument panel wire assembly.
