AIRBAG SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:B1647/82, B1648/82

DTC Code DTC Name
B1647/82 Lost Communication with Front Passenger Side Satellite Sensor Bus
B1648/82 Front Passenger Side Satellite Sensor Bus Initialization Incomplete

DESCRIPTION

The circuit for the passenger side - side collision sensor and passenger side rear collision sensor (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag (passenger side), curtain shield airbag (passenger side), SRS seat cushion airbag and rear window curtain shield airbag) is composed of the center airbag sensor assembly, passenger side - side airbag sensor (for front side), passenger side - side airbag sensor (for rear side) and passenger side rear airbag sensor.

The passenger side - side airbag sensor (for front side), passenger side - side airbag sensor (for rear side) and passenger side rear airbag sensor detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.

DTC B1647/82 or B1648/82 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the passenger side - side collision sensor and passenger side rear collision sensor (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag (passenger side), curtain shield airbag (passenger side), SRS seat cushion airbag and rear window curtain shield airbag).

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area

B1647/82
