AIRBAG SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:B1635/24, B1637/82

DTC Code DTC Name
B1635/24 Front Passenger Side Rear Airbag Sensor Circuit Malfunction
B1637/82 Lost Communication with Passenger Side Rear Airbag Sensor

DESCRIPTION

for DTC B1635/24:

The passenger side - side airbag sensor (for rear side) consists of the safing sensor, the diagnostic circuit, the lateral deceleration sensor, etc.

If the center airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the lateral deceleration sensor, it determines whether the SRS should be activated.

DTC B1635/24 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the passenger side - side airbag sensor (for rear side) circuit.

for DTC B1637/82:

The circuit for the passenger side - side collision sensor (to determine deployment of the curtain shield airbag (passenger side) is composed of the center airbag sensor assembly, passenger side - side airbag sensor (for front side) and passenger side - side airbag sensor (for rear side).

The passenger side - side airbag sensor (for front side) and passenger side - side airbag sensor (for rear side) detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.

DTC B1637/82 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the passenger side - side collision sensor (for rear side) (to determine deployment of the curtain shield airbag (passenger side).
