GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT SYSTEM (for Manual Transaxle)
In the GSI system, the ECM determines the optimum shift position according to vehicle speed, engine speed, and throttle position signals. The ECM sends a signal to the combination meter assembly to turn on either the shift up indicator light or shift down indicator light via CAN communication.
