ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM (w/o Entry and Start System) DTC CHECK / CLEAR


  1. CHECK FOR IMMOBILISER DTC


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Immobiliser / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check DTCs.

      Tech Tips


      • When using intelligent tester with the ignition switch LOCK to troubleshoot: Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle, and turn the front door courtesy light switch LH or RH and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.

      • Refer to the intelligent tester operator's manual for further details.

  2. CHECK FOR ECM DTC


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check DTCs.

  3. CLEAR FOR IMMOBILISER DTC


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Immobiliser / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.
