  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking System)

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Door Lock LH)

      Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Locks

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlocks

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock.

    2. w/ Unlock detection switch:

      Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        7 (E) - 8 (LSSR) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        7 (E) - 8 (LSSR) Unlocked Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        7 (E) - 9 (L) Unlocked 10 kΩ or higher
        7 (E) - 10 (UL) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        7 (E) - 10 (UL) Unlocked Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Double Locking System)

        Battery negative (-) → 2 (DL)

        Unset

        Tech Tips


        • Set the double locking system. Check that the doors cannot be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        • Unset the double locking system. Check that the doors can be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock.

    4. Check the operation of the double lock position switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        5 (E) - 6 (DLSR) Unset 10 kΩ or higher
        5 (E) - 6 (DLSR) Set Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock.

  3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Double Locking System)
