INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Tech Tips

When using the intelligent tester, repeatedly turn either front door courtesy light switch off-and-on at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less, until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

  • Inspect the fuses for this circuit before starting this inspection procedure.

  • Refer to the Service Bulletin for the installation position of the certification ECU.

      Disconnect the D34 certification ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the D38 power management control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D34-29 (LIN) - D38-24 (LIN2) Always Below 1 Ω
      D38-24 (LIN2) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D38-24 (LIN2) - Body ground Always Below 0.5 V
    5. Reconnect the certification ECU connector.

    6. Reconnect the power management control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D38-1 (AM22) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      D38-2 (AM21) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      D38-6 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D38-5 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Reconnect the power management control ECU connector.

  6. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU NORMAL ONE


    1. Replace the power management control ECU with a normally functioning part Click here.

    2. Disconnect the D73 power source control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      D34-29 (LIN) - D73-24 (LIN2) Always Below 1 Ω
      D73-24 (LIN2) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D73-24 (LIN2) - Body ground Always Below 0.5 V
    5. Reconnect the certification ECU connector.

    6. Reconnect the power source control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D73-5 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Reconnect the power source control ECU connector.
