VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Slip Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

  • When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration and store system information Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Select the Active Test on the GTS Click here.

    4. Select the Data List on the GTS Click here.

      Slip Indicator Light SLIP indicator light / OFF or ON

      OFF: Indicator light OFF

      ON: Indicator light ON

    5. Check the operating condition of the SLIP indicator light when operating it using the GTS.

      Result Proceed to
      SLIP indicator light in the Data List does not change using the Active Test. A
      SLIP indicator light in the Data List turns ON/OFF using the Active Test. B

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS Click here.

    3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The SLIP indicator light turns on or off in accordance with GTS operation.
