C1381 Acceleration Sensor Power Supply Voltage Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor via the CAN communication system.

The yaw rate sensor has a built in acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle's condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).

If there is trouble in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and the CAN communication system, the DTCs U0123 (malfunction in CAN communication with the yaw rate sensor) and U0124 (malfunction in CAN communication with the acceleration sensor) are output.

These DTCs are also output when calibration has not been completed.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1381 At a vehicle speed of more than 3 km/h (2 mph), the acceleration sensor power source malfunction signal is received for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the yaw rate and deceleration sensor, perform the following procedures:

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

For the VSC system, clear and then reobtain the zero point calibration Click here.

For the CVT system, perform "Reset Memory", "Deceleration Sensor zero Point Calibration", and "CVT Oil Pressure Calibration" (for K41A Click here, for K41B Click here.

  1. INSPECT YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR (IG TERMINAL)

      Disconnect the yaw rate and acceleration sensor connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D58-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Reconnect the yaw rate and acceleration sensor connector.

    2. Clear the DTC Click here.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Perform a road test.

    5. Check if the same DTC is recorded Click here.
