  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

    A011ALF

    1. Loosen the 2 bolts from the front fender extension.

      Note

      Loosen these bolts before tightening the nuts on the front shock absorber with coil spring.

    2. A0119E0

      Install the 3 new nuts and the front shock absorber with coil spring.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }
    3. A0119IF

      Tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      17 N*m  { 175 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
    4. Install the front shock absorber with coil spring onto the steering knuckle.

    5. A0118B9

      Install the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      164 N*m  { 1672 kgf*cm, 121 ft.*lbf }

      *1 Fulcrum Length
      *2 Long Socket Hexagon Wrench 6

      Using SST and a long socket hexagon wrench 6, fully tighten the front support to front shock absorber nut.

      SST
      09817-33190
      09922-10010
      Torque:
      without SST
      59 N*m  { 604 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf }
      with SST
      41 N*m  { 414 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).

      • This torque value is effective when SST parallel to a torque wrench.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION SUPPORT DUST COVER

  3. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR

    A011BBVE01

    1. Install the front flexible hose and front speed sensor with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      29 N*m  { 300 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Install the flexible hose and speed sensor without twisting them.

  4. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

    A011A43

    1. Install the stabilizer link with the nut.

      Torque:
      74 N*m  { 755 kgf*cm, 55 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a socket hexagon wrench 6 to hold the stud.

  5. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY

    A011ABK

    1. Install the tie rod end onto the steering knuckle with a new castle nut.

      Torque:
      59 N*m  { 600 kgf*cm, 43 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If the holes for the clip are not aligned, tighten the nut by a further turn of up to 60°.

    2. Install a new clip.

  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
