REVOLUTION SENSOR (NIN SENSOR) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NIN SENSOR)


    1. Apply a light coat of Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to a new O-ring and install it to the transmission revolution sensor (NIN).

      Note

      Do not twist the O-ring.

    2. Install the transmission revolution sensor (NIN) to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or moved out of place when installing the transmission revolution sensor (NIN).

    3. Connect the transmission revolution sensor (NIN) connector.

  2. INSPECT FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID LEAK


    1. Clean the area and check for fluid leaks.
